「高傲男」 is H.B.'s first 牵绊 in 异度神剑X. It involves H.B. and Cross. It occurs in the morning at the 住宅区's 净水厂. H.B. can be found standing on the steel mesh walkway inside the plant's fence.

Dialogue

"Is that you, Cross?"

"What brings you to this neck of the woods?"

"As you can see, I've been inspecting the water-purification plant."

"Water is every bit as vital here on 米拉 as it was back on Earth."

"Therefore, it must be rigorously supervised!"

Inquire: "Ask H.B. if he is a Mediator."

"What idiocy is this? Have you lost your wits?"

"I am a Pathfinder through and through! …And a quite famous one, I might add."

Observe: "Point out that this is a job for BLADE总部."

"You are not wrong—the responsibility does lie with HQ."

""But wait! I hear you cry. "Why is a Pathfinder of H.B.'s stature doing their job for them?""

"There are but two possibilities—because they are incapable of doing it themselves, or because my capabilities make me especially qualified."

"The answer is, of course, the latter."

"Anyway, HQ is known to be shorthanded at the moment. "

"When capable citizens step up to assist with their workload, it benefits all of New LA."

"Is hammering in 数据探针 a Pathfinder's only duty to New LA? No! The very notion reeks of indolence!"

"If ever a citizen of New LA finds his talents needed, he must answer the call, whenever and wherever it comes."

Concur: "Agree that H.B.'s assertion is logically sound."

"I pride myself on being an 优秀 judge of character, and I see now how right I was about your command of objective reason and holistic wisdom."

Object: "Accept H.B.'s reasoning, but express reservations."

"Even your minimal level of perspicacity is a breath of fresh air by New LA standards."

Rebut: "Refute H.B.'s assertion."
