An 巨蚊

巨蚊 (Japanese: アピス, Apisu) are huge mosquito-like creatures in 异度神剑X. They can be found in all five regions. They are similar to 泯翅蜂 and 栖林毒蝶, and share some Arts and material names.

Description

"A mosquito-like organism that lives off fluids and 以太 sucked from 其它 organisms. Unlike the standard Earth mosquito, however, both the 女性 and 男性 take their nourishment in this fashion.

巨蚊 plant their eggs in the bodies of large, beetle-like creatures such as the 玄武甲虫. Hatching larvae then live off their host until maturation, preying on any small 恐怖的寄生生物 they encounter and forming a symbiotic relationship. When near maturity, the larvae will exit their host through its digestive tract, at which point they finally mature into full adults."

Color Variants

巨蚊 fall into two color variants:

  • Yellow 巨蚊 are pale yellow and emit green glowing particles. They can drop 巨蚊千金粒s.
  • Black 巨蚊 are black and emit red glowing particles. They can drop 巨蚊石油粒s.

  • 巨蚊 is Latin for "follower", "attendant", or "syncophant".
  • The Japanese name for the species may come from the Latin apis, meaning bee.
