Artifice Aion is the final Boss in 异度神剑 2, fought at level 70 in the Aion 停机库 in the First Low Orbit Station. It is the most powerful of the Artifices, and has the power to destroy all of Alrest.
Story
Sometime in the 21st Century, the Beanstalk and the First Low Orbit Station were under the attack of rebels known as the Saviorites. The rebels manage to destroy many of the Siren mechs guarding the station, and the 导演 of the station orders Aion to be activated as a last resort. Klaus, however, locks the 导演 out of the Conduit needed to power Aion and instead runs his dangerous experiment that would create Alrest.
Aion briefly stirs when Mythra awakened a portion of Pneuma's power during her battle with Malos during the Aegis War.
Malos first learns about Artifice Aion while repairing his Core Crystal by stealing data from Pyra's. When Rex refuses to leave Pyra and Mythra's side at the Gotrock Oracle Ruins at the Cliffs of Morytha, the three are transported into the Aion 停机库, with Pyra claiming Aion to be her true power. Rex then awakens Pyra and Mythra's ascended state.
Malos later tells the party that he plans to reach Elysium, kill the 設計士, and then use Aion to destroy Alrest, claiming it is an Aegis' duty to do so. He ends up being the first one to reach Elysium; while he is unable to kill Klaus, he goes to activate Aion.
Klaus later sends Rex and the 其它 to stop Malos and Aion. Through directing a blast from Siren's particle cannon into the Aegis Sword, Rex and Pneuma deliver a fatal blow to Aion, killing Malos. As the World Tree begins to collapse, Pneuma stays behind to use Aion's power to destroy the World Tree and save Alrest.

- Aion has unique animations for being Toppled, Launched and Smashed. However, it is fully immune to all reactions during all of its arts besides his Auto-attack.
- Aion has an art for all eight elements.
