Drivers and Blades relationship
Blade Resonance is a Mechanic in 异度神剑 2. Drivers can resonate with Core Crystals to awaken new Blades and increase their possibilities. It is not possible to anticipate what kind of Blades will be created from a Core Crystal. 武器 and arts granted to a Driver depend on the awaken and selected Blades. Drivers can bond with 复数部位 Blades and use three of them during battle. It is possible to 开关 Blades in order to obtain more combinations allowing more playstyles. Certain special Core Crystals obtained during the story progression or quests always awaken a specific Rare or Legendary Blade. Some of them cannot be used for a long period after obtaining them.
Requirements
Only those who are worthy may have a resonate with a Core Crystal. If they are not worthy and try to bond with a Blade, they will simply be knocked out unconscious or have some temporary negative effects. In worse cases, it can potentially result in death.
Rare Blade Probabilities
Each time a Core Crystal is resonated with, the game generates a list of three Blades which will 闪光 above the Driver, and the third Blade will be awakened. The chance of a Rare Blade being selected follows this equation:
Probability = max((sqrt(Luck stat) * 0.013) + 0.95, 1) * 0.01 * (100 + 5 * [Idea Multiplier]) * [Core Rarity] * [Blade Base Probability]
The Idea Multiplier uses the Driver's highest level Idea Stat, and only applies to Blades of the corresponding elements. If two Idea Stats are equal, the game chooses one at random. If a Booster is used, the boosted Idea will be used.
The base probability for each Blade is determined by the group a save file is placed in upon creation.

If a Blade that was previously awakened from a special Core Crystal is released, their base probability is set to 1.
Core Rarity is determined by the type of Core Crystal used.

If at least one Rare Blade is on the final list when a Rare or Legendary Core Crystal is used, the final selection will only be made from those Rare Blades.
A "pity timer" is used to grant Rare Blades if the player uses enough Core Crystals without obtaining a single Rare Blade. Whenever the player opens a Core Crystal without a Rare Blade, points are added to the timer. If a Rare Blade is acquired, the timer resets to 0.

At 100 points, the player is guaranteed a 可怜 Blade when they use a Core Crystal (resetting the 可怜 timer). A second or third 可怜 Blade is obtained when the timer reaches 100 points for the second or third time. The 可怜 Blade is selected from a pool of 3 Blades, which are determined based on the save file group. If the player has already obtained the chosen Blade, a Common Blade will be generated instead.

Trivia
- Save File Group 5 was originally meant to grant the 可怜 Blades: Floren, Ursula and Vale. However, due to a programming error the 可怜 blades for Group 1 were repeated in Group 2. This resulted in Groups 3 to 5 to be assigned the 可怜 blades meant for the previous Group in the sequence, and made Group 5's original 可怜 Blade set be omitted entirely. This makes Godfrey, Agate and Boreas the most common Rare Blades to 吸引 early in the game.
