The boss battle against 歌蒂娅
Bosses are 敌人 in 异度神剑X. As with most games, they tend to appear at the end of a specific portion of the game and are related to the story event (directly or not, such as 任务). Bosses have unique names, can be a character or a Monster, and have high stats and potentially unique skills.
The special target window frame of a Main Boss
There are two types of bosses. The Main Bosses have a special window frame when targeted and are only encountered during the main story, while the Secondary Bosses have a normal frame and are battled during specific 牵绊 or Normal 任务, although two, the 卡拉达战甲 and the 「天人」卡拉达战甲, are Story Exclusive. All the bosses have an 敌人 Index entry, except the ones only fought during a 团队任务 or a 限时任务, such as 「白」诡钉战甲 and 「黑」诡钉战甲. All Main Bosses after (and including) 格伦纳 and all Secondary Bosses are Mission Exclusive.
It should be noted that 珍稀种 and Nemeses are not bosses, although 「追击」沃尔卡姆夫 acts as a pseudo-boss when the party first battles it.
If the party is defeated by a boss numerous times, the player can sometimes be offered an opportunity to lower the Level of the chapter's boss by 5. The levels shown below are the initial levels of these bosses.
