Brionac is an organization and 敌人 type in 异度神剑 2. They are a terrorist group violently opposed to Emperor Niall's peaceful regime, wishing for the Empire of Mor Ardain to be more expansionist and militaristic. They are said to be supported secretly by extremist members of the Senate. They are 敌人 of the 琳dwurm, but the two groups also sometimes engage in shady dealings.
Their membership comprises mostly of Ardainian soldiers, including Titan 武器 and attack dogs, though some are Drivers. Most of them are found in the Brionac Occupied Zone of the Empire of Mor Ardain, although some are found elsewhere during certain quests.

Etymology
The name "Brionac" has occurred in past Japanese media. The most commonly given origin of the name is that it is from Irish mythology, as the name of a spear belonging to the 神 Lugh and one of the Four 秘宝 of the supernatural Tuatha Dé Danann. According to legend, no warrior has ever been able to stand against its wielder. This etymology is further supported by most of the Brionac having Scottish Gaelic names (e.g. "madadh" means "dog"). However, while the spear of Lugh is indeed a legendary relic, there is little evidence that the Celts ever called it Brionac. The term first came to prominence in Japanese pop culture. As such, the true origins of the name are 未知.
