A 盘鳍飞鲸
盘鳍飞鲸 (Japanese: ブリキオ, Burikio) are 浮游型 敌人 in 异度神剑X. They are flying cetacean-like creatures with two disc-shaped organs protruding from their backs and light particles emanating from their fins, and are similar to 弓头飞鲸 in appearance. They can be found in 夜光森林, 忘却溪谷, and 黑钢大陆, and are nocturnal creatures.
Description
"Huge fish that use atmospheric 以太 as a thrusting agent for aerial locomotion, storing the 以太 气体 in their swollen abdominal cavities in order to stay afloat. Their backs are equipped with large echolocation organs designed to sense their surroundings and help subdue prey. Upon sighting a 潜力 victim, 盘鳍飞鲸 emit concetrated bursts of sound waves to 昏迷 the target before closing in for the kill."
"Cetos are sluggish, and their feeding habits slovenly. For this reason, one can often find wayward 剑鱼 attached to their abdomens in 希梅莉 of securing a free meal."
Color Variants
盘鳍飞鲸 fall into two color variants:
- Pink 盘鳍飞鲸 are purple and blue. They can drop 盘鳍飞鲸粉薄膜s. They only appear in 黑钢大陆.
- Yellow 盘鳍飞鲸 are faded green and yellow. They can drop 盘鳍飞鲸金薄膜s.

Etymology
盘鳍飞鲸 may be derived from cētō, the singular dative or ablative of cētus the Latin word for whales that gave the Cetacae order name and the related taxonomic names (odontoceti, spermaceti, Mysticeti). It may be also derived from 盘鳍飞鲸, the name of a primordial sea goddess in Greek mythology, or κῆτος (kētos), meaning a whale, sea Monster, or large sea creature.
