第8章 is a Story Mission in 异度神剑X. It can be received from 凡达姆 at the BLADE HOME in NLA. This mission corresponds to 第8章 of the main plot, when the Ganglion invade NLA.

During this story mission, two areas, the NLA第一防线 in 原初荒野 and the NLA最后防线 in NLA, are exclusively unveiled. This is one of only three chapters where story exclusive areas are present.

The clock freezes at 4:00 for the duration of this mission. The Network 中央控制台 in the BLADE HOME is temporarily unavailable due to the emergency, and 凯凯 sets up the Shop 终端 and AM 终端 in the BLADE HOME to allow preparations before leaving for the defense line.

Objectives

Note: At the start of the mission, the AM 终端 and Shop 终端 have been temporarily moved into the BLADE HOME next to the exit so that they can be accessed before leaving.

• "Leave the BLADE HOME."
  • The party will automatically travel to NLA第一防线 in 原初荒野.
• Achieve all objectives
  • "Defeat the 「侦查」普格机器人." (3)
  • "Defeat the 「突袭」鸵型机动炮台." (2)
• "Defend the 东门 of New LA from the Ganglion's attack for three minutes."
  • The 敌人 can be any three of the following: 「突击」奎魔战甲, 「追击」奎魔战甲, 「闪击」奎魔战甲, and 「辅佐」栝式无人机. Each will respawn one minute after being defeated.
• Achieve all objectives
  • "Defeat the 「冲击」幻啼战甲." (1)
  • "Defeat the 「冲击」幻啼战甲." (1)

• Upon completion of these objectives, the party automatically moves to the NLA最后防线 in NLA.

• "Head to New LA's 商业区 and eliminate the invading forces."
• Achieve all objectives
  • "Defeat 达甘."
  • "Defeat 莱兹."

Results

"You successfully repelled the Ganglion's attack and 被救了 New LA. However, the alien mech was stolen."
