"Doom" seals the Driver's fate.
Doom is a status effect in 异度神剑 2 and Torna ~ The Golden Country. It is similar to Instant Death in 异度神剑. It is a party debuff that causes the incapacitation of Drivers, once five seconds pass from the moment when it gets inflicted. It has a chance to be resisted 20% of the time by default.
Unlike with 其它 debuffs, it has no additional visual indicators outside of the "Doom" debuff tag briefly appearing next to the afflicted character.
Defense against Doom
There are a couple of ways of resisting the debuff. The Seven-League Circlet and Fighter's Circlet accessories will grant resistance to the status. Having a Blade with the Dark Element active on the battlefield will also guarantee that the effect is resisted by their Driver.
Since the incapacitation effect is delayed by five seconds, timing any action that causes the Driver to become temporarily invincible just before the time elapses will allow them to survive the status. This can be achieved with actions that cause in-battle cinematics, such as Chain Attacks, 异刃连击 Finishers and Level IV Blade Specials.
Unbeatable effects such as the ones granted by Revival Pod accessories can also save the Driver from incapacitation by Doom once per battle. Attacks that inflict Doom can be reflected or dodged, preventing the status from being inflicted, however the delayed effect of death deals no real damage and therefore cannot be rebounded or evaded.
In Torna ~ The Golden Country, Minoth and Drivers equipped with Dark element 武器 accessories fully resist Doom, but they can still be incapacitated from the effect after Vanguard Switching from a character that was inflicted by the status. Haze's "Summer Breeze" skill will also boost party resistance to the status effect.
Since Doom is treated as a debuff effect, the Debuff Cancel Blade Art can 驱散 it. Similarly, Haze's Gentle Zephyr and 雨果's Banishment Rear 防守 Arts can also cancel it.
