答格 Barrett (Japanese: ダグ, Dagu; English dub: /ˈdʌɡ ˈbær.ᵻt/) is one of the eight main playable characters of 异度神剑X. He is a Harrier and a member of the private military organization BLADE. He excels at all military skills, but is the most effective when it comes to piloting Dolls. 答格 is recruitable after 第3章.

Prior to Earth's destruction he was part of the Unified Government Forces Special Vehicle Guidance Squad (commonly called the Doll Squad) as 艾尔玛's 部下. He has been 劳's comrade-in-arms since their days in the United States Army.

Personality

While 答格 may look stern, he is actually a gentle and kind-hearted man. He is also easily made fun of, often getting teased by 琳 whenever he messes up during Doll tests.

Appearance

答格 is a human and appears to be Caucasian. He is tall with a muscular build and a strong facial bone structure. He has blue eyes, short brown hair and sideburns.

Gameplay

Location

When not in the party, 答格 can be found in the 停机库 in the BLADE区 of NLA. If he is spoken to, he can be asked to join the party.

Recruitment

答格 can be recruited after 第3章.

In battle

答格's Class is Alternative 疾风之刃. When he is first recruited, he is level 18 and rank 3. He wields a 光剑 and a 射线枪. His two Signature Arts are 星光尘暴 and 超限斩裂 (Both 光剑). He has four skill slots. His class progression is as follows:

Story

Main story

答格 is first seen when Cross and 艾尔玛 witness him trying to pilot a malfunctioning Doll during a flight test. He ultimately crashes it, and 琳 races to the scene in a car just after to assess the situation. 答格 calls her out in frustration for clearing him to fly when the Doll was not ready, and greets Cross and 艾尔玛. After the introductions, 琳 commands 答格 to clean up the mess and 加入 the party as they head for BLADE塔, much to Doug's annoyance. Later, 答格 and 伊莉娜 are selected to lead the Doll factions as the 主色调 line of defense when the Ganglion invade NLA. 答格 also greets 劳 after he wakes up in the 维修中心, after having been confronted by the Ganglion earlier on.

Afterwards 凡达姆, who 嫌疑犯 a spy is among their ranks, confronts 劳 with a BLADE Team. It is then, after 答格, 艾尔玛, Cross, 琳, 塔兹, 伊莉娜, and 古因 arrive, that 劳 reveals he is the Ganglion spy and steals the 「掠夺」阿瑞斯, with intention to give it to the Ganglion. 答格 is also seen when almost all of BLADE is mobilized to secure the 生命舱核心, and he is among the party that enters Central Life to participate in the final battles against 路克萨尔.

Trivia

答格's English voice actor, Patrick Seitz, also provides the English voice for 达甘.
