
狼蜥 敌人
敌人 are the AI-controlled opponents faced by the party in 异度神剑X. 敌人 can be found all over 米拉, alone or in groups, and can be fought by the party to gain experience or progress in the story. When 敌人 are defeated, the party gains EXP and Class points, and may receive 秘宝.
Regular 敌人 are usually members of a subcategory, reflected in the second part of their names (for example, 「幼崽」狼蜥 are members of the 狼蜥 family). Exceptions to this rule are the more powerful 珍稀种 that all have unique names (for example, 「追击」沃尔卡姆夫), Nemeses (for example, the 「幻羽」特雷西亚) and Bosses (for example, the 「起源」蜚蠊 or 歌蒂娅). The 敌人 Index tracks most opponents encountered.
敌人, like playable characters, have Levels and use arts in battle. In addition, 敌人 come in various sizes, ranging from small (like 蜚蠊) to XXL (like 双腔龙). Larger 敌人 have more health and are comparatively more dangerous than smaller ones of the same level.
Most 敌人 can gain the 狂暴化 Buff when their health is depleted to a certain percentage, typically a low percentage. This buff can increase the enemy's stats and/or defenses, or enable a counter spike. Its exact effects seem to vary depending on the species and the individual 敌人.
Detection Types
Every 敌人 belongs to one or two of three detection types, and some can belong to a fourth category called Group Loyalty. Enemies' categories are indicated by icons next to their level in and out of their target windows.
If the party 领导 is at least 10 levels higher than a target, then they will avoid the party, even if they are sight and/or sound 敌人. They will only initiate an attack when the party attacks first. Exceptions to this are 珍稀种, Bosses, and Hidden 敌人.
Detection types may change depending on time of day, weather conditions, or when the party 领导 boards a Doll.
Passive 敌人 do not attack the party at all unless they are attacked first. Their target window does not contain an icon. |
Sight 敌人 will attack the party on sight. All sight 敌人 have a range of vision that triggers an attack when the party enters it. Their target window has an ovular eye to designate them as sight 敌人. 敌人 with a greater range of vision are indicated with a larger, circular eye. |
Sound 敌人 will attack if the party is within a 辐射 around the 敌人. Their target window has a lightning bolt to designate them as sound 敌人. 敌人 with a greater range of aural detection are indicated with a lightning bolt with a circle around it. |
Group Loyalty 敌人 are not necessarily all members of the same species. Any group of 敌人 with red triangles above them will attack if one member of the group is attacked by or detects the party. The red triangles don't appear in the 敌人 target window; the red triangles will only appear above the non-targeted 敌人 in the group when the group member is targeted. |
Notes
- Unlike sound 敌人 in 异度神剑, detection by sound 敌人 can not be avoided by moving slowly.
- All 敌人 not detected on the mini-map as red dots will similarly activate if the party 领导 comes within range.
- Small 敌人 such as 蜚蠊 or 拜亚斯 will be launched if a Doll moves over them, which initiates a battle. This is the only instance where party members 其它 than the lead may initiate a battle.
- When fighting an 敌人, 其它 members of the same species may join the battle if they are close enough. This can occur regardless of level and detection type.
Appendages
When targeting an 敌人, damage can be dealt to certain parts. A targeted appendage is indicated by a translucent blue circle. Hit points of an appendage are indicated by an arc inside the target circle that decreases in measure as its hit points decrease.
Different appendages are automatically targeted depending on the player's orientation to the 敌人. A targeted appendage can be locked on by pressing down on the right 魂控 stick, indicated by a red circle. 其它 party members will automatically deal damage to appendages independently of the player's selection unless told otherwise by the Focus Attacks! command. Once destroyed, an appendage can not be targeted again. If no appendages are targeted, pressing down the right 魂控 stick will lock to the enemy's core. Certain appendages low on a body can not be targeted while in a Doll, though certain missile-based arts can seek out these elusive appendages.
敌人 use their appendages to perform arts. For example, 丝蛛 use their acid sac appendage to spray acid. If this appendage is destroyed, the usage of this art is impaired completely. Inversely, destroying an appendage can allow 敌人 to use certain arts. For example, destroying a millesaur's neck allows it to use the "Inferno Missile" and "Roar" arts. Destroying appendages may expose weak points. For example, destroying a 玄武甲虫' horn appendage exposes a point significantly weak to 光束 damage. By extension, appendages may have different resistances to attributes. For example, 岩龟虫' abdomen appendage has significant resistances to all attributes.
Materials relevant to a certain body part, such as an 珍味蛮豕尾 drop frequently, but not exclusively, from a corresponding appendage. They are salvaged from separate 秘宝 boxes after battle.
