Engage the 敌人 (敵との対峙, 对立 with the 敌人) is an Event Track in 异度神剑, composed and arranged by ACE+. It is track 9 of disc 1 from the 异度神剑 Original Soundtrack. It is also track 9 on the 异度神剑 Special Soundtrack. This music is a pre-battle theme that is heard in the following cutscenes:
- When Metal Face stabs Fiora during the raid on Colony 9
- When Shulk learns Monado Speed and saves Sharla from the Mechon M71 at Spiral Valley
- Before the battle against Xord at the Central Pit - Base Level
- Between battles with the Leone 特雷西亚 in the Decayed Forest as it 再生 its health
- 对立 with Face 世界BOSS and Metal Face at Prison Terrace atop Prison Island
- Dunban versus Mumkhar on Valak Mountain, interrupted by Egil's arrival
- Death of Mumkhar as he falls from the Heavy 机 Depot in Sword Valley
- Zanza versus Fiora/Meyneth in a duel of the 神 above Mechonis Core
- Between battles against Disciple Dickson as the party catches their second wind
A trimmed and looped version of the track appears in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U. A remix of Engage the 敌人 also appears in the "Xenoblade Chronicles Medley" track.
Live Recording
The Live Recording is an official live performance of five songs from 异度神剑 to celebrate the release of 异度神剑 3D. These songs were performed and orchestrated by ACE+ band accompanied by a string quartet, in particular the live recording of "Engage the Enemy".
