Field-Skill is a stat in 异度神剑X. Upgrading Field-Skills is needed to be able to open 秘宝 and install 数据探针 that require a higher Field-Skill than level 1.
There are three types of Field-Skills:
- Archaeological
- Biological
- Mechanical
Field Skills can be upgraded by speaking to 埃莉奥诺拉 after increasing the player's BLADE Level. For every BLADE Level up, she will upgrade one Field-Skill of the player's choice. However, she can only upgrade a Field-Skill to a maximum of level 4. To upgrade Field-Skills to level 5, the three Mechanical, archaeological and biological 神秘指令 Basic 任务 must be completed.
There are three different types of 秘宝 that can be found throughout 米拉.
- Archaeological: Alien artifacts and 残骸 (rewards EXP, Credits, BP. and sometimes 芯片)
- Biological: Native structures like insect nests, 奇特的大树, and 原生生物的粪 (Rewards EXP, BP, and sometimes Fashion Headgear)
- Mechanical: Earth-based containers, wrecked vehicles, and 白鲸 debris (rewards EXP, Credits, and sometimes Data Probes)
To be able to open those 秘宝, the respective Field-Skill must be on the same level or higher.
