The 开拓网络 System interface
The 开拓网络 (English dub: /ˌfrʌnˈtɪərˌnæv/) is an information system featured in 异度神剑X. It is known as Frontier Net in the Japanese version. The 开拓网络 is a specialized computer system used by the human survivors to pioneer the planet 米拉. By installing 数据探针 in FN点, the system expands and gathers data on the surroundings.
History
According to 柯丝蒂, the 开拓网络 was initially conceived through the Earthlife Colonization Project. The government wanted a way to gather resources and intelligence on an alien planet so they assembled a special team known as "Frontier" to 阻截 the issue. 柯丝蒂 and many 其它 研究人员 worked tirelessly to make the project a reality even after they boarded the 白鲸.
After a working version of the system was completed, the Ganglion attacked the ark ship which resulted in losing several key members of the program. As the 白鲸 crashed into 米拉, the project's data archives were scattered everywhere. 柯丝蒂 made a resolve to recover all the lost data archives which contained confidential data regarding the second-generation 开拓网络.
Later on, 柯丝蒂 reveals that the second version of the 开拓网络 was worked by her colleagues in secret. She eventually learns that her colleagues' original vision was to expand the 开拓网络 into an interstellar database system, linking every single discovered planet in the universe. It is revealed that 托比亚斯 was the key to the final sixth 数据箱 and that he was involved in the project. 托比亚斯 invested his own money into the project to make their colleagues' original vision come true.
