In ''[[A Grim Undertaking]]'', Hala is 担心 about her niece [[Thea|Thea Falsaxum]]. She wishes for Thea to move on from her late 未婚妻, [[Quegga Zeblaga]], and for her to continue dancing.

In ''[[Quegga's Gift]]'', after the proper burial of Quegga and finding a 纪念品 left by him, Thea is able to move on and finds motivation to dance again making Hala feel grateful.
