The Judicium Titans, or Aeshmas, are small Titans in 异度神剑 2. These Titans have been 新星 with the technology of the ancient Judicium nation in Temperantia, which was destroyed during the Aegis War. When encountered by the party, an activated Titan is controlled by Jin.
Story
In preparation for war, the Ardainian Empire had begun excavation of the Judicium Titans in Temperantia after tensions rose with Uraya. Some time later, during an excavation, a large 爆炸 occurred, revealing the incredible power of the Judicium Titans. Emperor Niall soon called off the excavation, and the unearthed Titans were kept guarded at the Titan 武器 Dig Site.
Akhos reports to the Torna organization on the situation in Temperantia, where the ardainian appear to have excavated Judicium technology. Jin resolves to travel to Temperantia to buy Torna some time.
On Temperantia, the party finds the Judicium Titan, with Jin inside the 魂控 center, rampaging towards the Urayan military. Although Rex suggests an 袭击 on the Titan, Mòrag warns that the beast is extremely volatile, as evidenced when one exploded three months before during excavation. Nevertheless, the only way of subduing the beast is to cut the 以太 cords, so the party plans to ascend the beast as Fan la Norne tries to restrain it.
Atop the Judicium Titan 武器 near Haggle's Swordtip, the party battles the Aeshma's Core and Power Lines Ardainian defense mechanisms as bosses. After destroying the defense mechanisms, Jin faces the party and reveals that he is a Blade. With Fan supporting the party, they battle Jin atop the Titan.
Etymology
The name comes from jūdicium or iūdicium the Latin word for "judgment", "trial". It alludes to one of the Cardinal virtues, the justice (Latin iustitia), and corresponding to the seven heavenly virtue of kindness (Humanitas), that is opposed to the name of Uraya alluding to the seven deadly sin envy or Invidia in Latin.
