Story
In 开拓指南, she teaches Cross the basics of installing 数据探针 and how to chain them together for the 开拓网络 grid. In 行星米拉的开拓1, 柯丝蒂 explains that the majority of the resources had been used up since the 白鲸 crashed--she asks for the 扩张 of additional 数据探针 in 原初荒野 in order to increase the 米拉矿石. In 行星米拉的开拓2, 柯丝蒂 asks Cross to retrieve several materials for Doll maintenance as well as a 数据箱 in 夜光森林. She reveals that the 数据箱 contains classified information from a special project that she and her colleagues were involved in. By the start of 行星米拉的开拓3, as NLA gained new xenoform residents, the city experienced exponential growth in terms of technology and trade. As a result, the 米拉矿石 consumption spiked to an alarming degree--Kirsty asks Cross to expand the 开拓网络 grid further into 忘却溪谷 and to collect another 数据箱.
In 行星米拉的开拓4, 柯丝蒂 once again sends Cross out to 白树大陆 to further expand the 开拓网络 system--she promises to tell Cross more about the classified 数据箱 after completing the mission. Once the assignment is completed, she reveals that when the Earthlife Colonization Project began, the government had to figure out a way to gather resources and intelligence on a new planet. A special team with the code name "Frontier" was assembled to 阻截 the issue. 柯丝蒂 was one of the many 研究人员 involved. She said that even after the 白鲸 took off, they kept working on the project without much food or 睡眠. After a while, a working version of what would come to be 开拓网络 was completed. When the Ganglion attacked the 白鲸, their lab came under fire--her 团队成员 died in the attack while the data itself was wrecked as it crashed onto 米拉. 柯丝蒂 嫌疑犯 that she is the only surviving member of the project. She said she had no luck finding her colleagues through 开拓网络. She reveals that the five 数据箱 contains information on a top-secret, second-generation version of 开拓网络. Even after the system was complete, the rest of the team continued to pursue their 调查·挑战 voluntarily. 柯丝蒂 believes 凪 is unaware of the project--even she herself does not know the finer details. After retrieving the final 数据箱 in 黑钢大陆 during 行星米拉的开拓5, 柯丝蒂 感谢 Cross for helping her. However, she brings up that all of the recovered data is encrypted and that no one is able to crack it.
In 新的开拓, 柯丝蒂 has finished 正在分析 the 数据箱. She discovered that her team's 调查·挑战 was a secret to the former heads and believes that they never told her because of 潜力 implications for her career. 柯丝蒂 wants to pick up where her colleagues left off so she can see this through to implementation. She also discovered that the aim of the second-generation 开拓网络 is to link every planet in the universe to the system--essentially sharing information and resources freely among them all. The schematic starts with the planets of the original solar system, and proposes linking to newly discovered planets from there--including 米拉. 柯丝蒂 希梅莉 to bring the project alive even if she doesn't see it come to fruition within her lifetime. After Cross gathers materials for her, she asks if they had any dealings with 托比亚斯. She thinks of him as a selfish jerk who only uses the 开拓网络 as a tool to sate his own greed, however, she realizes that he is the key to the sixth 数据箱. She asks Cross to negotiate with him in her stead since they do not get along.
柯丝蒂 is in total 电击 when she learns that 托比亚斯 was involved in the network development. She could not believe that someone so selfish and greedy had a hand in the project. 托比亚斯 expressed serious doubts about BLADE HQ or the provisional government funding Kirsty's project--he steps in and surprises 柯丝蒂 by transferring all the money he accrued into her personal account. 柯丝蒂 is left completely dumbfounded.
