The Land of Morytha (Japanese: モルスの地Morusu no chi, lit. The land of Mors) is a ruined nation in 异度神剑 2 located below the Cloud Sea, near the roots of the World Tree.

It was destroyed long before Alrest even existed and is said to have been the birthplace of the 設計士. Once the home of an advanced human civilization, during the events of 异度神剑 2 it is a ruined city filled with Guldo.

Story

The Land of Morytha is the name given by the Salvagers of Alrest to the depths of the Cloud Sea. As a result of the battle that took place in the atmosphere of the planet, the surface suffered severe damages, leaving the cities in ruined states.

After Klaus activated the Conduit, causing most of humanity to disappear into distant dimensions, the few survivors tried to use Core Crystals in a desperate attempt to gain immortality. Their experiment failed, and they became Guldo.

During the battle against Jin and Malos in the Gotrock Oracle Ruins, Rex and Mythra fall to the Land of Morytha, where they encounter a badly injured Jin, forming a temporary alliance with him. While exploring the city, looking for their companions, they encounter the corpse of Torna, where Jin explains to them the true story behind the aftermath of the Aegis War.

After reuniting with the rest of the party and defeating the Infernal Guldo, which had ambushed them in the Womb Center, the 麒麟马 appears, looking for Jin. He then proceeds to rejoin with Torna, with the party beginning the ascension of the World Tree.
