Monado Speed is one of Shulk's Monado arts in 异度神剑. The colour of the blade turns dark blue upon activation. 以太 particles are generated through the blade and then transferred to the recipient. This increases the recipient's 物理 evade rate significantly, allowing the recipient to dodge the 敌人's 物理 attacks at a high rate.

The maximum evade rate is 95% for 敌人 物理 Auto-Attacks; 90% for enemy's 物理 arts.

In the Super Smash Bros. series

Monado Speed appears as one of the five buffs Shulk can give to himself by using Monado Arts in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U and in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, although it is quite different in this series. It boosts Shulk's ground speed, but reduces his jump height and he deals less damage. Shulk's feet will also glow blue with this art, the same color the Monado's light blade becomes when activating Speed in the original game.

异度神剑 2

Monado Speed is a passive ability in Shulk's 牵绊 chart, which gives a 24% to 40% accuracy and 回避增强 to the party at max 牵绊, the percentage depends on his 牵绊 chart.

Trivia

The symbol for Monado Speed displayed on the Monado during Shulk's Level IV Blade Special, Monado Unbound.

  • The symbol that appears on the Monado when Monado Speed is activated is the kanji "疾", which is the base of the word "疾く" (quickly, swiftly).
  • The cutscene that introduces Monado Speed clearly shows that Reyn and Sharla were given a speed increase. However, when used in battle, it will only speed up one character.
  • In 异度神剑 2, when Shulk activates the Monado during his Level IV Blade Special, Monado Unbound, the symbol for Monado Speed appears on the Monado.
