The Ponspectors 使唤 the party

The Ponspectors (Japanese: ノポンジャー, 诺彭jā, Nopongers) are a brigade of twelve 诺彭 in 异度神剑: Future Connected. They are an elite band of surveyors from Frontier Village, split between red, blue and yellow teams. The Ponspectors are NPCs that the party can found and met all over Bionis' 肩, and they can be recruited. They have issues they struggle with and give the party a quest in order to gain each Ponspector's aid in battle. Once recruited and assembled, they can provide Union 攻击 and extra effects during battles. It should be noted that certain Ponspectors, when recruited, may offer hints on the location of their companions. These are shown as a Ponspector flag on the map.

Notes

  • All Ponspectors have the same body colour and uniform. From a distance, the only thing that differentiates them is their unique flag, which displays their badge and team colour.
  • All Ponspectors introduce themselves to the main characters with the line "Qualified, certified..." what comes after usually relates to their predicament at the time, and rhymes with the -ied suffix at the end of their introduction (ex.: "Qualified, certified, only mildly terrified."). The second part of the introduction follows the format "Ponspector (name) is name, surveying new lands is game." This recitation is part of the Ponspector manual. The only exception is Wunwun, who says "Ponspector Chief Wunwun is name, oversee surveying new lands is game!" This reflects his position as the Ponspectors' boss.
  • All Ponspector's names draw from numbers and their relative order in the Ponspector list:
  • Wunwun (one-one)
  • Tutu (two-two)
  • Drydry (drei-drei, Drei (pronounced "dry") is German for three)
  • Fofora (four)
  • Faifa (five)
  • Hekasa (hexa- is a Greek radical meaning six)
  • Setset (sept-sept, sept is French for seven, and "sept-" the Latin radical)
  • Tei-tei (eight)
  • Nonona (non- is a Latin prefix for nine, and "nona" means ninth in some Latin languages)
  • Dekadeka (deca- is a Greek radical meaning ten)
  • Evelen (as an anagram of eleven)
  • Tentoo (ten-two, twelve)
  • Their names are also reflected in their position in the Ponspector Report and in their unique badge and personal flag, with each number expressed as a combination of "ones" (triangles) and "fives" (carets). Drydry, for instance, has three triangles as his badge, whereas Faifa has a single caret, and Evelen has two carets and a triangle.
  • The player can select whether Ponspectors are visible outside of battles. If they are visible, they tend to form a line next to the main characters.
  • Due to their distribution on the Bionis' 肩, red team Ponspectors are likely the last ones to be found by the party. These 诺彭 also tend to be close to unique Monster locations.
