原初荒野 region's Segment Map displayed on the Wii U Gamepad
The Segment Map is a tool in 异度神剑X associated with the 开拓网络 system. In order to efficiently collect information about 米拉, the 开拓网络 divides each Region of the world map in 复数部位 hexagonal blocks, called Segments. These Segments are displayed on the Segment Map viewed on the Wii U GamePad.

Operational 数据探针
The status of each segment can be instantly determined by displaying a icon in the Segment Map:
A FN Site.- A 数据探针 扩张 place.
- The possibility of Fast Travel. The party can be instantly moved to the place where this icon is displayed, directly from the Wii U Gamepad.
- A segment where no information has been collected.
The coloring of the segment borders indicates the relative difficulty on the indigens in the area.
Segment Recon
The places where 任务 are available are indicated, in a simple manner, by a topic mark in their related Segments:

- The location of a 珍稀种, a particularly dangerous Miran creature.
- The location of a 秘宝 Box.
- A place that is a 普通任务 destination.
- A place that is an 牵绊任务 destination.
- Segment recon is complete.
Note that segments may contain 复数部位 秘宝 Boxes or 珍稀种, whereas only a particular box or 珍稀种 will qualify for recon. Citizens of New LA or attendants at BLADE Camps may occasionally be overheard with info on a particular segment.
