Yellow cloud around Driver repels Blades.
Stench is a status effect in 异度神剑 2 and Torna ~ The Golden Country. It is a party debuff that repels Blades from their Drivers during combat, making it difficult to maintain the 牵绊 Bond between the two. When the debuff activates, the Driver starts to emit a yellow mist representing a repulsive smell that pushes Blades away from them. It lasts for 30 seconds.
During its duration the Blade will avoid the Driver when they come into close proximity to them. Whenever repositioning, the Blade will always choose to remain at a distance where the 牵绊 Bond does not manifest. This can cause 牵绊 to gradually decrease and make the process of gaining more difficult.
In Torna ~ The Golden Country, Blades can be inflicted with Stench, repelling the Driver in the rear 防守. The status effect will always be kept on the vanguard, even after performing a Vanguard 开关.
Defense against Stench
Applying Seal Stench will prevent an 敌人 from inflicting Stench, forcing the effect to fail.
The Incense of Calm and Incense of Insight accessories can grant Drivers resistance against the status effect. Accessories that expand the length of the Driver-Blade 牵绊 line such as the Red Thread, Love Thread and Passion Thread can also help a repelled Blade keep the bond connected even while avoiding the Driver. Since Stench is treated as a debuff effect, the Debuff Cancel Blade Art can 驱散 it.
During combat, the effect can be partially mitigated by manually 正在接近 the Blade in such a way that the Driver is kept far enough to not repel them but close enough to make the 牵绊 line manifest between the two, while minimizing movement to prevent the Blade from having to reposition themselves. The higher the Trust level of the Blade, the easier it becomes to maintain the link to their Driver.
In Torna ~ The Golden Country, Haze's Gentle Zephyr and 雨果's Banishment Rear 防守 Arts can cancel the debuff. Additionally, Haze's "Summer Breeze" skill boosts party resistance to the status.
