异度神剑: Future Connected

异度神剑: Future Connected (Japanese: つながる未来, Tsunagaru mirai) is an extra epilogue story extension of 异度神剑: Definitive Edition. It revolves around Melia, accompanied by Shulk and two new 诺彭, Kino and Nene, who are all playable in the new area Bionis' 肩. This additional story can be played without clearing the main storyline first (although it will not make sense without prior knowledge of the 异度神剑 plot).

Story

The epilogue Future Connected is set one year after the main story. The new world is at peace, the different known races are working together, and the restoration of the world is underway. Shulk suggests that Melia set out to find the capital of her people, the imperial city of Alcamoth, which has come to rest by the Bionis' 肩. They are flying aboard the Machina's 垃圾 when they are attacked by a 光束 of light coming from a mysterious black fog within Alcamoth and 破坏 into Bionis' 肩.

Upon leaving the trashed 垃圾, Kino and Nene are revealed to have stowed away to join Shulk and Melia. Kino is a young 诺彭 who wants to become a hero like his adoptive 父亲, Riki, but is afraid of strangers. Nene is Riki and Oka's 女儿 and Kino's adoptive sister.

The party set out to a small garrison of High Entia soldiers, who inform them that Alcamoth has been overrun by a being known as the Fog King. The mission to reclaim Alcamoth and restore Melia's rule comprise the plot, along with protecting the 肩 settlement of Gran Dell from Fogbeasts and Melia reconciling with her "sister", Tyrea.

Despite having a new 武器 that resembles the Monado, Shulk no longer has the ability to see the future. A variety of familiar 敌人 populate the Bionis' 肩. However a new type of 敌人, the Fogbeasts, have begun to infect the area. All over Bionis' 肩, 诺彭 rangers named Ponspectors can help the party and even unlock their own signature attack.

Gameplay

The battle Mechanic are globally similar but the Visions and the Skill Trees are gone, and Chain Attacks are replaced by a new battle Mechanic, the Union 攻击.These involve the Ponspectors, who are supporting 诺彭 characters and participate in battles with strong group attacks. Shulk and Melia retain their arts from the main game, and Kino and Nene fight with the arts of Sharla and Reyn respectively.

Merchandise

Following Pyra, Mythra and KOS-MOS figures, Good Smile Company has announced a Melia figure made into a 1/7 scale and based on her design from Future Connected on may 29th, 2020, and revealed prototype pictures for the WonHobby Gallery 2020 AUTUMN exhibition on October 17th.
