The 扎鲁波加 when first met
The 扎鲁波加 (Japanese: ザルボッカ, Zarubokka) are a race of beings in 异度神剑X. Their homeworld, Bedun, is covered in dense toxins which they call 伏毒 (English dub: /ˈvoʊl.tənt/), a substance which is necessary for their survival but harmful to all 其它 lifeforms. They are 类人型, but wear bulky clothes and helmets resembling hazmat suits which hide their true appearance. According to 欧雷伦 they are not 分裂 into genders and reproduce asexually; the 牵绊 Chart lists the "gender" field of all 扎鲁波加 as "Unknown". Despite this 奇洛米尔 is implied to be 女性 or at least have a 女性 personality of sorts.
The 扎鲁波加 worship a 神 named Golbogga (English dub: /ˌɡoʊlˈboʊ.ɡə/), who according to 特拉克洛·莱思雷恩 "drowned our homeworld in 伏毒 and birthed our people," and according to 阿莱伯坎 created the 汲毒手杖s which it placed on their homeworld. Young 扎鲁波加 undertake a pilgrimage to secure their own 汲毒手杖. When repairing a 汲毒手杖, the 码农 璐璐媞 says that he thinks the staves are not 扎鲁波加 technology.
扎鲁波加 use their 汲毒手杖 staffs to remove 伏毒 from the environment, a process they call devoltanizing, and store it in their backpacks. If a 汲毒手杖 is used without a backpack, the 伏毒 is absorbed directly into the user's body; this can be lethal to a non-Zaruboggan. 扎鲁波加 are very protective of their 汲毒手杖 due to its importance for their survival.
The 扎鲁波加 are introduced in the 普通任务 亡者溪谷侦察任务. After the mission is completed, they establish themselves in NLA as processors of hazardous waste, an arrangement which proves mutually beneficial for the 扎鲁波加 and 其它 residents.

Physiology
The true appearance of the 扎鲁波加 is usually veiled by their suits and helmets. However, 费罗兰, who does not wear a helmet, shows that 扎鲁波加 have frog-like heads with elongated horizontal oval-shaped eyes. Concept art for the 扎鲁波加 supports this.
Bedun
Bedun is the home world of the 扎鲁波加. It is a polluted and ruined land. It has seas and forests, but these are incredibly toxic. There are ruins on the planet, presumably 被舍弃了 by the samaarian.
Society
扎鲁波加 live in a hierarchical society. Their cities are 分裂 into blocks that are administered by a 导演 of planning. There is only one such individual among the 扎鲁波加 of 米拉.
